Important information
Distances to your destinationThe distance to each campsite from Calais is shown at the top of each campsite page. |
Arrival and departure timesUsually you can arrive at the campsites any time between 16.00 and 19.00 and will be expected to leave between 8.00 and 10.00 on the morning of your departure. Any exceptions to this will be noted on your holiday voucher. In Mediterranean countries it is a custom to have a siesta between 13.00 and 15.00. During siesta time certain facilities may have limited opening hours. The barrier at the entrance of the campsite may sometimes be closed too. |
What day can I arrive? It's up to you how many campsites to visit and the number of nights you want to spend on each. We offer a massive choice of 360 campsites making the options endless. You can also choose which day of the week to arrive and depart. Just call our operators who will be happy to inform you on availability on the campsites. By opting to travel mid-week you'll miss all the weekend traffic making your journey easier. If you require an overnight stop, just give us a call. |
How long?Decide for yourself how long you want to stay. You don’t have to book a full week as most campsites have a minimum stay of four nights. Sometimes its just two nights and, at the occasional site, only one. You can fit your Channel crossing around your travel to suit yourself. You don’t have to travel straight from the UK to your campsite, we can book your ferry crossing up to 30 days either side of your campsite arrival and departure dates. Don’t forget, if you travel on the ferries during the week, there are no supplements to pay on the Dover to Calais crossing as this is already included in the price of your holiday. Weekend travel attracts supplements so we want to give you the option of keeping the cost of your holiday down.
