Camping on the Islands of Kvarner
Krk is the largest and most accessible of the islands, being connected to the mainland by a bridge. It’s known as the golden island for its delightful climate and beaches. Lošinj is called the “island of wellness and vitality” due to the 1200 variety of aromatic and therapeutic herbs that grow there. With 250 km of walking and cycling trails it’s also perfect for outdoors family holidays. The island of Cres is linked to Losinj by a bridge situated by the town of Osor. It’s an island full of history and culture, with magnificent buildings from the 15th and 16th centuries from its old Venetian rule. It’s also home to the rare griffon vulture colony. Rab island is a magical place and one of the greenest islands in the Adriatic, covered with pine forests and beautiful sandy beaches.

The campsite is situated near Mali Losinj, the largest town on one of the most beautiful islands in the Adriatic, Lošinj. This picture postcard place is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with a thick pine forest and a pristine, turquoise sea making it perfect for great outdoor family holidays. For the ultimate beach experience head for Cikat bay close by. It’s an unspoiled paradise, where you can relax, swim and wonder at the beauty that surrounds you. Visit Veli Lošinj a smaller fishing village just 4km away. Take a walk around its pretty streets, do some shopping, then have a lazy late lunch by the harbour. If you’re lucky you might just see the bottlenose dolphins playing in the narrow mouth of the bay.
Sun, sea and sand in Kvarner
A camping holiday in Kvarner is a real treat for lovers of sun, sea and sand. While the mainland resorts of Rijeka, Opatija and Crikvenica have excellent beaches with crystal clear water, the real gems are to be found on the neighbouring islands. Krk island has the fabulous beaches by Baška and Rab island the wonderful Paradise beach, with its soft sands and child friendly gentle slopes. Lošinj has one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia, Čikat Bay. Situated between a lush green pine forest and the bright blue waters of the Adriatic, Čikat is a superb spot to swim, do watersports or simply watch the sun set on another perfect day with a cocktail in your hand.
