Camping Au Bord de l'Ourthe, Rivage-Sprimont

A charming campsite set behind an old Ardennes inn, in the rocky area called 'Gate to the Ardennes'. The grey stones from which the inn was built are characteristic for the houses in this area and come from the nearby old stone quarry.

Why camping Au Bord de l'Ourthe?
  • The campsite facilities are neat with a well-maintained shower block.
  • The campsite is suitable for families with older children, especially because of the wide range of outdoor activities on offer. There's a large outdoor centre close by.
  • It is situated beside the Ourthe, a river that is very popular for canoeing.
  • Comblain-au-Pont, a village with some shops and cafés, is only 10 minutes away.

The surrounding area of camping Au Bord de l'Ourthe, Rivage-Sprimont

Rivage is an old mine workers' village on the banks of the Ourthe, around 20km south of Liege. The famous caves of Remouchamps are not far away, but actually the ones of Comblain-au-Pont on the opposite side of the river are even more impressive.

Some tips for your holiday at camping Au Bord de l'Ourthe in Rivage-Sprimont:
          • This area is perfect for exploring by bike or on foot, or perhaps you could try your hand at mountaineering.
          • A popular attraction is the 'death slide' (tokkelen), where you go down a slide attached to a well-secured iron cable.
          • Visit the old stone quarry that has all kinds of attractions, the Banneux abbey or maybe Durbuy, supposedly the smallest city in the world.
          • Leige is much bigger and it always has a buzz to it, especially at the Sunday morning market.
          • Don't forget Plopsaland
