• Visit the lighthouse in Savudrija at the most north westerly point of Istria. This is one of the oldest lighthouses and guards the entrance of the harbour of Trieste.
• Visit the penisula of Katoro where an old Roman villa has been discovered. A large part of the house remained intact including the thermal baths, some beautiful mosaics and fresco wall paintings. For a different view of parts of this villa you would have to scuba dive as some of it lies underneath the water.
