From the hill where the campsite is situated you have direct access to Lake Knudsø, where you can enjoy all kinds of water sports such as sailing, canoeing and swimming. Or you can just relax on the grassy banks near the waterside. Next to the reception, you'll find a swimming pool with a waterslide and, within the adjoining forest, there's a children's playground. At the campsite you can rent rowing boats, canoes and bicycles and the fisherman amongst you will have a great time as the lake is well stocked. This campsite has plenty to offer so there's no chance of being bored.

The lake district in the highest part of Jylland is a beautiful green region, perfect for a family holiday. There's nature all around you to explore and plenty of Danish culture for both young and old to enjoy. You can take a trip on the oldest paddle steamboat in the world, which is great fun. There are lots of museums to visit including the automobile museum in Gjern, the catering museum in Svejbaek and the Silkeborg museum of arts with its fine collection of paintings. A steam trains runs daily from Bryrup to Vrads. The weekly markets in the towns of Silkeborg, Skanderborg and Ry and the 'blue market' in Lasby are worth a visit . At Viborg you can see the catherdral and the well-known city of Arhus is nice to visit. The children will never forgive you if you don't visit "Legoland". For the more adventurous you can sail or windsurg on the region's lakes or test your nerve at the Tivoli Friheden theme park.
