A beautiful campsite on an ideal location, on the wooded hill top of the Montalbano and within walking distance of the pleasant village San Baronto. The site is wooded and hilly. The name of camping Barco Reale is derived from the historic 'Barco', a walled hunting area which the famous Medici family once owned here.

- Pistoia has a regular train connection with the centre of Florence. The bus to Pistoia starts in San Baronto, 700 metres from the campsite.
- A trip to the Tuscan coast is also a possibility.
- The road between San Baronto and Pistoia is extremely popular with racing cyclists.
