Camping Las Dunas, Sant Pere Pescador

There are several excellent campsites on the Costa Brava in the Vacansoleil brochure and Las Dunas is certainly one of these. Situated by the beach, the campsite is obviously a perfect choice for families. Add to this the fantastic facilities on offer and you have the makings of a holiday to remember. The swimming pool, tennis courts, table tennis and mini golf will keep the children busy and for the over 16's there is a disco for their evening entertainment. Various activities are organised by the animation team for all age groups but there is also the opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy the sunshine.

The surrounding area of camping Las Dunas, Sant Pere Pescador

The bay of Rosas is well known for its beautiful sandy beaches so this area is an excellent place for families with both young and old children. Watersport lovers are also well catered for here. A drive along this coastline will take you through several pleasant fishing villages such as L'Escala and Empuriabrava. The atmosphere in these pretty villages is typically Spanish with terraced cafés, restaurants serving the fish brought into harbour that day and the locals strolling along with their families each evening. There are many places within easy reach for interesting day trips, whether you prefer history and culture or towns and cities with good shops. Figueres is home to the marvellous Dalí museum and the convent of Montserrat is reached by a lovely drive into the hills. The bustle of Barcelona is not too far away and for something totally different from the city there are the Roman ruins at Empúries.
