Camping Vilanova Park, Vilanova i la Geltrú

This must be one of the most beautiful campsites in this part of Spain. Located a little inland on a well-shaded hill, it offers a wonderful view over a large part of the Costa Dorada. Vilanova Park has two large swimming pools, providing fun for all ages, and the beautifully designed fountain is worth a special mention. Children thoroughly enjoy the children's pool and the various playgrounds to be found around the site. The beach at Vilanova is about 2.5km from the campsite. Guests can take advantage of reductions at the beach club for any rentals of various water sports equipment such as jet skis.

The surrounding area of camping Vilanova Park, Vilanova i la Geltrú

The Spanish coastline to the south of Barcelona is called the Costa Dorada - Coast of Gold, a superb environment with much to offer. It's not only the beautiful beaches that impress as the hinterland also comprises of many interesting areas. One such is the impressive rocks of Montserrat, oddly shaped mountains made by mother nature's erosion process and certainly worth a visit. A day tour from Vilanova to the vibrant city of Barcelona is also a great experience. You can drive, passing through Garraf tunnels, or take the train from Vilanova and save yourself the stress of trying to park. Closer still is the charming city of Sitges, with its famous church that is known from the International Film Festival. Vilanova I la Geltru itself has a number of interesting museums, one of which is about the railways. If you follow the coastline further south you will reach the historic city of Tarragona, an excellent choice for an enjoyable day trip.
