- Fancy a quiet day out, not too far from the campsite? Then go to Sottomarina di Chioggia (3km), an old, yet lively fishing town, known as Little Venice . It’s just as pretty as its namesake, only smaller, far less crowded and much friendlier.
- Spoil the kids and take them to Centro Astoria in Chioggia. Spend a fun day at the beach, by the 1000m2 pool and in the Luna amusement park with some fabulously thrilling rides. End the day with a delicious dinner at one of the restaurants there.
- When in this area, a day trip to the fabulous floating city of Venice is a must. Ride a gondola down the Grand Canal, pass under the bridge of sighs, marvel at the majesty of the Doge's Palace and stroll across the beautiful Piazza San Marco. Take a short boat ride to Murano island to get a perfect souvenir made from the world famous hand blown glass.
- Feel like a spot of shopping? Then head for Rovigo and visit the a seasonal ‘outlet’ for the expensive designer fashion shop Ivo Milan in Padua, where end-of-season clothes and shoes are sold at bargain prices.
- Architecture lovers head for Pomposa ( 47km) to admire the famous 9th century Pomposa Abbey, a masterpiece of Romanesque art, with its towering campanile. Then relax at one of its many little restaurants near the Abbey and sip limoncello in the shade while the world flies by you.
