Wonderful safari tent in the fantastic bella italia campsite in lake garda. So much to do and see...grown ups and kids all had so much fun!

    Area tip

Hire bikes from the campsite, get a boat to garda and cycle back to lazise and get a boat back from there. Just 15 mins on a train to Verona, beautiful place. Best restaurant was Vecchio Mulino Beach a short walk along the lake.

The holiday experience overall was really great. The chalet we stayed in was well stocked and comfortable. The pool area has a number of slides that our children loved. Overall the resort was extremely busy but always kept immaculately clean. Booking, checking in and out was all made extremely easy.

This is a big campsite, gets very busy around the pool. Loads to do on campsite and in the surrounding area. Great for smaller children. Access to the lake.

    Area tip

Lidl supermarket 5 mins drive. use the bike hire company just outside as they're far cheaper. Good public transport links outside the campsite.

We have just returned from Easter break in Bella Italia. It's a great campsite that is in easy reach of Verona and Venice for day trips. The pools are great but if travelling at Easter the pools are not heated which was a pity. The lake which you are situated right beside is beautiful. It is alive with ducks and swans which the kids loved feeding. It's very close to go for a stroll to Pescheria. The park is clean but very busy even at Easter. I am not sure if it is a campsite that I would enjoy as much in the summer with young kids. I would imagine it would be hard to mind them when the campsite is full as it is huge. The restaurant at the park entrance near the Bella Hotel was beautiful but mind your bill the prices do not always match the price on the menu. If you are travelling to this area and if you are coeliac then you may find eating out a challenge. Check before you order any drinks as many restaurants do not cater for this dietary requirement. If you want to travel up a bit there is a beautiful drive to a place called Scruelle. It's in the Trento region. Best gluten free pizza I have ever tasted in a restaurant called Chardonnay. The mountain range was breathtakingly beautiful. All in all great holiday once again with Vancansoleil.

    Area tip

Go for a walk in both directions when you come out the gate near the lake beautiful on a sunny day. Take a day trip to Sirmione by ferry but go in the mornings before it gets busy. Casrle free entrance for kids under 12. Lazise beautiful. Kids playground there beautiful. Gardaland also great day out
