Some tips for your holiday at Camping Solmar in Blanes
- A day trip to Barcelona is a must ( 72km). Walk down Las Ramblas, let the stunning Basílica de la Sagrada Família take your breath away and stroll through the beautiful Güell park . After seeing all the sights, relax by one of its many excellent beaches and enjoy a lovely, long lunch. Tip: avoid the hassle of traffic and parking and take the train along the coast into the city centre.
- Treat the kids to a great day out at the amazing Water World fun park near Lloret de Mar (6km). It’s fun for all the family with lagoon pools, wave pools and slides to suit all ages, from kamikaze speed slides to a slightly gentler ride.
- History lovers go to gorgeous Girona for its magnificent medieval architecture (40km). Walk around the ancient city walls, visit the old Roman Arabic-baths, admire the vast and beautiful Girona Cathedral and explore the narrow little alleys of the historic Jewish Quarter.
- Fancy a day out close to the campsite? Then head into busting Blanes ( 1.5km) to get fresh fruit and vegetables at the daily farmer’s market. Relax with a beer and tapas at one of the many excellent terraced cafés. Then stroll along the sea-side boulevard for a wonderful walk back to the campsite.
- Feel like a day at the beach? The popular Playa de S'Abanell in Blanes is just 200m away from the campsite, near a lively promenade. For a more secluded stretch of sand head a little further to the lovely Cala San Francesc beach. It’s just 3km away and easily reachable by bike.
- Want a lively night out? Then head for the famous town of Lloret de Mar (6km) where the bars and discos are open until the early hours.
- Art fans are in for a treat in Figueres (86km) It’s the birthplace of Salvador Dali. Visit the Teatre Museu Dalí, a mixture of theater and museum and just like Dali himself full of surprises.
