There's more to a camping holiday than just the beach or countryside. Some of our campsites are perfectly located for lively breaks near many famous European cities. So if you fancy combining a holiday with a visit to one of these, we have plenty of choice for you.

A European city at each fingertip

Use your Vacansoleil campsite as a base for a city break and then have use of all the top class facilities on the campsite after a day of sightseeing. Shop until you drop but then head back to the campsite and take a dip in the pool.

Paris

Stay at a campsite near Paris with the train station at the campsite's doorstep. Once in the city you can take the metro to Montmartre or the Eiffel tower, or take in whatever sightseeing you fancy.

Rome

Florence

Florence was the most important city of culture in Europe from the 16th to the 19th century. It offers architecture, painting and literature and produced famous names such as Dante and Machiavelli.

The narrow streets beside the many canals really are nice to stroll along. Of course you'll want to visit San Marco square with the huge astrologic clock and the Bridge of Sighs.

Home to the balcony of Romeo and Juliet for the romantics among you and there's also the old arena where opera is performed.

Prague

In addition to the well-known bridge over the Moldau river, the old Jewish quarter and the astronomy clock, there's also the 'golden alley' where Franz Kafka lived and the artists café of Slavia.

Vienna

Enjoy the numerous cafés and coffee houses that made Vienna famous. Visit the beautiful Schönbrunn Palace of the Stephansdom theatre, and enjoy the Viennese culinary highlights.

Lisbon

It is the city of Fado music, whose seven hills are connected by rack railways and unique old tramlines. A large bridge over the Tago river connects the city with the penninsula on the opposite side.

When you think of Porto, you'll probably think of the delicious port wine produced there. However this lively harbour city has much more to offer; a treasure of cultural and architectural sights. It's no surprise that Porto is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

The beach, culture and lots of fun, combined in one destination: that is Amsterdam. On a campsite close to this capital you have all these options. Just leave your car at the campsite of your choice because public transport in Holland is excellent.
