Some tips for your holiday at Camping Domaine de Chaussy in Lagorce
- Visit the famous Pont d' Arc ( by road or canoe.) It’s just 15km from the campsite. The welcoming city centre of Ruoms is a further 4km away, at the bottom of a hill. Stopping for lunch, dinner or for a visit to its market is a must!
- The small of Vallon Pont d’Arc is 10km away. The perfect place to canoe or kayak on the Ardèche river. Also stop to admire the caves of Grotte Chauvet, with its 36.000 year old cave paintings.
- Visit the mining museum Mine Temoin in Alès to learn about the region’s illustrious coal mining history.
- Go to the city of Montélimar, where nougat is made. Stroll around its historical district and then nip into the nougat museum to see how this wonderful delicacy is made. Naturally you can taste some and buy some to take home as a souvenir.
