Campsite information

Camping Le Millau Plage is a perfect campsite to experience outdoor life at its best. You can enjoy direct views of the river Tarn from your luxury Tent accommodation. Your surrounded by nature and hundred-year-old oak trees. The kids can get active on the pools own climbing gear and the whole family can enjoy a day canoeing.

This family friendly campsite is located on the banks of the River Tarn. Several of our tents are right on the waterfront where you can relax under ancient oak trees.
There’s a great atmosphere around the campsite. Children having fun in the playground or making a giant splash in the beautifully pool. Plenty for the smaller kids too, they can have swimming lessons in the tropical themed children's pool.
There’s children's clubs and often organized evening entertainment too.
Near the campsite you’ll find the famous Millau Viaduct Bridge, the highest in the world. Stunning to see and even more stunning to drive across.
At the site reception you’ll find lots of information on outdoor family excursions such as canoeing, kayaking, cycling and for the more adventurous, canyoning, caving, paragliding and even bungee jumping. There are several professional outdoor companies in the area.
Fancy a day of doing nothing? why not, you’re on your holidays after all. Relax surrounded by nature or enjoy drink in the stylish outdoor bar. Enjoy a nice meal later at the campsite’s own restaurant.

The surrounding area of Le Millau Plage

The campsite is just 3 Km from Millau town centre. This was once an old Roman city (Condatomagus) and today a bustling town with narrow streets and an old quarter. You can sit out in the evenings on one of the many terraces.

Some tips for your holiday at Le Millau Plage in Millau

The famous “Tarn” and “Dourbie” river Gorges are well worth a day trip. Carved by the river over thousands of years, these primeval feeling limestone gorges are stunningly deep and impressive. Tip: Visit Point Sublime, a stunning panoramic viewpoint 400 meters above the Tarn.
In Cevennes, outdoor life is all around you. Hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, canyoning. Choose from a variety of activities that will add exiting adventure to your holiday.
The spectacular Viaduc de Millau across the Tarn valley is a must see. This mega bridge (with some columns higher than the Eiffel Tower!) is most spectacular seen from below, head halfway up the D992, or take the Tarn riverside route, the D41 at Peyre.
Head to Millau city centre with its bustling streets and the 'Beffroi de Millau', a historic clock tower. Tip: climb its 220 steps to get a panoramic view of the city.
Another must see in the Auvergne / Aveyron region is the famous caves 'Caves de Roquefort ‘- only a half hour’s drive from the campsite. Here you can see the world-famous Roquefort blue cheese being made and maturing. Of course, don’t forget to purchase some to enjoy back at the campsite.
