      Family Camping fun by the beach in Corsica

      Most campsites in Corsica are right by the beach.  You can walk straight onto the pearl white sands from them and dive into the crystal clear water. The beaches in Corsica are every bit as beautiful as in the Caribbean. From the gorgeous Saleccia beach in the north, to the stunning Palombaggia in the southern part of the island. This beach is regarded by many as the finest beach in Corsica.  The stretch of coast near Porto Vecchio on the south east has some remarkable beaches, with the perfect soft sands and cool blue waters of Santa Giulia Beach and Rondinara also close by the campsite.

      City trips from your campsite in Corsica

      There’s plenty of great sight-seeing not far from your campsite. Visit Napoléon Bonaparte’s birthplace, Ajaccio. This elegant capital of Corsica is effortlessly beautiful. The bustling old port of Bastia is the perfect place to soak up some culture. Stroll through the vibrant historical neighbourhoods, then head down to the harbour for a lazy lunch. For something really special, go to Bonifacio, the picture perfect postcard town that rests dramatically on the cliffs of the southern tip of the island. On a clear day you can see Sardinia. Want to combine culture, shopping and some beach time? Then Porto Vecchio is the place for you. With 16th century architecture, restaurants, bars, boutiques, a street market and some of Corsica’s most idyllic beaches, it’s a real little paradise.

      Outdoor Activities in Corsica near your campsite

      Corsica is outdoor heaven. With thrilling and challenging hiking routes, such as the Gr 20 not far from your campsite.  Cycling enthusiasts will have a blast with endless miles of road, from gentle slopes for beginners to real Tour de France Stage routes. Corsica is also a great place for fishing. Fly fish for Brown trout in the mountain rivers, fish by the shore for whitebait or go deep sea fishing for tuna and swordfish. The really active and daring hike through the Gorges de la Restonica.  For a gentler experience go horse riding in the wild mountain woods or along the secluded beaches of the magnificent Corsican countryside.

      Things to see and do near the campsite in Corsica

      Corsica offers you a wonderful combination of sight-seeing, culture, nature and amazing beaches, all within range of your campsite. Take a look around the house where Napoleon was born in Ajaccio. Witness the stunning sight of the town of Bonifacio , which clings dramatically to the cliffside around it . Take a trip to the Grottes de Bonifacio. Magnificent deep caves with giant rooms deep down under the ground. Go dolphin and seal spotting in Scandola nature reserve. Wander through the historical old town in Bastia. Wine lovers take note: visit the Domaine de Torraccia  vineyard between the mountains and the Med near Porto Vecchio. You can buy some great wine here for just € 4 per litre.
