Camping Sanguinet Plage is a lovely 5 star campsite which nestles in the shade of lush woodland, right next to picturesque Lake Sanguinet. This mid-size family campsite is great for families with young children and a paradise for water sports lovers. The beaches of the Atlantic Ocean are close by.

Some tips for your holiday at Sanguinet Plage in Sanguinet

  • Fancy a great day out by the beach, but don’t want to go too far from the campsite? Then bike or walk to lovely Caton lakeside beach ,just a few kilometres from Camping Sanguinet Plage. The water is crystal clear there and pine trees provide some welcoming shade.
  • Fans of horse riding can jump on their favourite mount and admire the beautiful countryside on horseback.
  • Adventurers head to the fabulous Dune du Pilat ( 23km), Europe’s tallest sand dunes. Climb to the top of these and reward yourself with stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean and Arcachon Bay.
  • Wine lovers take note! The most productive wine region in France, Bordeaux, is just 62 kilometres away. Go to the fabulous Cité du Vin museum to learn everything about your favourite tipple. Experience a delicious wine tasting session, then amble down to Rue Saint-Rémi for a marvelous meal. Tip: try the Cannelés. Small, soft cheesecakes made with vanilla and rum.
  • Families with small kids can visit Arcachon Bay (26km) with its calm waters protected from the wild waves of the Atlantic. Go shopping in the Ville d'été part of Arcachon, then stop at one of the many excellent restaurants there for some simply stunning seafood.
  • Capture that perfect summer feeling at Biscarosse ( 13km) Stroll along endless white sandy beaches, jump on a surf board and catch a wave, ramble through the forest and stop for a picnic or just sit under the shade of a pine tree with an ice cold drink and listen to the calming sound of the sea.
  • Spoil the kids with an amazing day out at the pirate themed Kid Parc adventure island in Gujan-Mestras ( 22km).
