Why Camping Domaine de Bréhadour?
- Cosy camping in the French countryside
- Feed the animals at the kids petting zoo
- Large mobile homes for 10 persons with 4 bedrooms
A city campsite, but it's not really because although Domaine de Bréhadour is situated in the built-up area of Guérande, the real city is behind the imposing old walls. It's a nice spot on a summer evening and from the campsite it's only a couple of minutes' walk to the city. Even better, this is a peaceful campsite during the day and in the evenings, which makes this site a good choice for families with young children.
Guérande is a photogenic, historic walled city that is often seen on posters. The Spanish conquest in the 14th century was the reason for building a solid, two metre thick and 1,5km long wall around the city that has four stronghold gates. The walls remain practically intact and are an impressive sight. The old houses, with their stone roofs and the cobblestone narrow streets, are reminders of its Celtic history. The city is also known for its organ concerts and salt factories.
"A quiet location, but within walking distance of Guérande city centre, one of the most beautiful walled cities in France. A few kilometres from the beach, a good choice for young families."
