Campsite information

Camping L'Ile d'Offard

A 5-star campsite in a 5-star location. L'Ile d'Offard is on an island in the river Loire. The view of the white chateau of Saumur on the mainland is yours to enjoy. A stone bridge leads you to this lovely city full of art and history. A simply idyllic place.

  • This location is truly unique. You will camp on an island in the Loire, completely surrounded by the waters of the longest river in France. A short walk across the bridge takes you to the old centre of Saumur.
  • Not too big and not too small. The site covers 5 hectares of park-like landscape and has excellent amenities. These include a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, a wellness area and a restaurant.
  • Yongsters will enjoy their time here too. Water fun in the pool, meeting new friends in the playground or on the multi-sports field. In the summer months there's an entertainment team on site that caters for all ages, including very little ones.
  • Make sure to take a trip on the Loire in a traditional river barge. Or paddle your way along it in a canoe. Book your boat at the campsite reception.
  • You can hire bikes here too. The famous 'Loire a Velo' cycle trail passes the campsite. It's 800km long but don't worry - you don't have to cycle all of it.
