Burgundy
Burgundy is a fascinating wine region and famous worldwide thanks to two grape varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The area is made up of different wine regions:
- Grands Crus de Bourgogne. Also known as the Champs-Elysées of the Bourgogne. This area is known for its Cru and Chardonnay wines.
- Grands Vins de Bourgogne. This region covers the vineyards of Maranges, Couchois and Côte Chalonnaise. Explore the area by car, by boat (via the Canal du Centre) or by bike (Voie Verte cycle paths). The latter is is a perfect way to discover this region.
- Mâconnais-Beaujolais. This region encompasses the vineyards of Mâconnais and ends in Romanèche-Thorins, where the first of the Beaujolais vineyards are to be found
