    Close to your campsite in Montenegro you’ll find the large island of Ada Bojana. The island is surrounded by the Adriatic Sea in the south and in the north, tributaries of the Buna River combine to give the island its unique triangular shape. Along the island’s shore you’ll find unique floating wooden houses, some of which have been converted into bars and restaurants, serving local specialties. It’s Montenegro’s southernmost city and is famous for its beautiful beaches, rich history and cultural heritage. The city's centuries old history stretches back to the Roman and Ottoman Empires. The mix of cultures is especially evident in the city’s picturesque old town, which is located on a hill overlooking the Montenegrin Riviera. Here you can find well-preserved examples of Ottoman architecture, with narrow streets, stone houses and a fortress. Ulcnij is also famous for its rich culinary heritage; smoked carp or eel dishes are the local speciality here. Ulcnij is a wonderful city and well worth a visit.
