Some tips for your holiday at Camping Legjenda in Shkodër
- Active holidaymakers will be delighted with a day trip to the nearby mountains. The highlights? Tamarë at 70 kilometres, Theth at 80 kilometres and Razëm at 45 kilometres. The walks through these areas are suitable for all levels. Go for an adventurous hike with an altimeter or go for a quiet walk along waterfalls and gently flowing streams and rivers.
- Take a ferry tour across Lake Koman. The old Dardania car ferry underwent a complete makeover and now the Alpin ferry leads you past dramatic cliffs and extraordinary vistas.
- After a 20 minute drive you’ll reach the Mesi bridge. Its architecture is striking. The round smooth stones and slabs make this bridge, together with the panoramic view, extremely photogenic. It almost seems to have been painted.
- You can see the castle of Rozafa from the campsite. Not surprising, because it rises majestically on a hill, 130 metres above everything. Plan a day trip and combine a visit to the castle with historic Shkodër.
- After about 25 minutes’ drive you’ll reach Rragam. Or you drive a little further south to the Vau i Dejës dam. Next stop? The boat to Shurdhah Island. Put on your hiking boots and discover the largest island in the reservoir. Wherever you walk, the mountains adorn the horizon everywhere.
