Camping near Theme Parks

A holiday on a campsite is of course a great experience. But it can be even better with wonderful day trips to some of Europe’s best amusement parks. We have selected 18 of the best parks that are close to our campsites. Each park has attractions for everyone from fast rides for the daredevils to gentle rides for the younger ones and the less brave.

Disneyland® Paris – France

Combine Disneyland® with a stay on campsite Le Chêne Gris. Take a picture with Mickey and Donald, face the forces of nature in mega exciting attractions and close the day by watching the magical Disney Parade. Buy your entrance tickets for Disneyland® Paris at the reception of camping Le Chêne Gris – no need to stand in line at the park to pay so even more time for fun!

Parc Astérix – France

One of the worlds longest wooden rollercoasters can be found at Parc Astérix. The 'Tonnere de Zeus' is 33 meters high and reaches speeds of 80 kilometers per hour. Exciting! You can also enjoy many shows, like Parc Asterix’s Roman spectacle and their impressive new stunt show.

Futuroscope – France

What will the world look like in 2050? Find out in Futuroscope! Enter the time machine and come face to face with robots. Fly through super high tech and funny 4D worlds and be amazed by the magic shows. This unique amusement park is in the Loire and is a fantastic day out for kids aged 5-16 years old.

Puy du Fou – France

In the award winning Puy de Fou, you and your family will experience the Viking and Roman times, the middle ages and the French revolution. How? Through amazing shows with thrilling stunts and special effects. In between all the action, you get a taste of the life back then. In replica villages, a castle and gardens with animals and fountains.

Europa-Park – Germany

The biggest amusement park in Germany, and one of the worlds biggest, is located in the small village of Rust. The theme is, like the name suggest “Europe”. With over a hundred attractions and shows a visit to Europ-Park will be an experience you won't forget. Don't forget to try their new rollercoaster “Wodan” which reaches speeds up to a 100 km per hour!

Movie Park Germany – Germany

Are you a big fan of the movies? Then Movie Park Germany is an absolute must! Spectacular roller coasters for adults and an inclusive “land for children” named 'Nickland' (from the popular Nickelodeon) the kids will have a blast. Movie Park Germany is located an hours drive from all our campsites in Limburg (NL).

Port Aventura – Spain

The largest amusement park in Spain has 6 zones, each with its own theme. With exciting roller coasters like the Dragon Kahn to more child-friendly rides. It also has an aqua park - Costa Caribe Aquatic Park, with a Caribbean theme and 12 big waterslides. Just next door is the ultimate amusement park for racing fans and daredevils, Ferrari Land!

Canevaworld – Italy

This very popular park consists of several parts: Medieval Times, Movieland Studios and Aqua Paradise Park. The latter being the biggest water park in Italy with many water slides and one that drops down a massive 32 meters. This park is a perfect combination of entertaining shows and top attractions.

Gardaland – Italy

The biggest and most popular amusement park in Italy is 'Gardaland'. It is not only known for it’s spectacular roller coasters such as the 'Raptor' and the 'Blue Tornado', but also for the 'Fantasy Kingdom' a themed area ideal for young children. All of our campsites at Lake Garda are located close to Gardaland.

Mirabilandia – Italy

Close to Ravenna you'll find the second biggest theme park in Italy. The two main showpieces of this park are the 90 metre high ferris wheel (one of the highest in Europe!) and the roller coaster 'Katun'. Katun is one of the all time top ten roller coaster in Europe, so that says something! Of course there are also many other attractions for smaller kids and the less brave.

Toverland – Netherlands

In the beautiful south of Holland lies the theme park Toverland. Toverland has grown into a fantastic amusement park that provides great attractions and activities for all ages. The new Magic Valley is stunning and in the Dwervelwind ride you will be twisted and turned up side down! Camping De Schatberg is located directly opposite Toverland.

Efteling – Netherlands

The most famous theme park in the Netherlands situated in the Brabant region. Efteling is perfect for all ages. You’ll be amazed by the enchanted forest, experience the adrenaline of the “Python” and scream out loud in the haunted house. One day simply won’t be enough to experience this great park.

Beekse Bergen – Netherlands

Fancy a safari in the south of Holland? Well it is possible with a visit to Beekse Bergen. This is an amazing wildlife park with the chance to go eye to eye with leopards, zebras and exotic birds. With a bit of luck a curious giraffe might poke his head in your car window – probably best to keep your windows closed then! You can visit the park by foot, bus or even boat. A truly once in a lifetime experience.

Plopsa Coo – Belgium

Once you walk through the gates of Plopsa Coo you will enter the enchanting world of gnome Plop and his friends. Of course you will probably meet them on the park! As soon as you enter the park you see Vicky the Ride and in the distance the Mega Mindy Flyer high reaching high into the sky. A spectacular backdrop for the little ones!

Bobbejaanland – Belgium

With more than 40 exciting attractions for all ages, Bobbejaanland is a great park with fun for everybody. You can combine these attractions with a dashing show. A great day out is guaranteed for everyone.

Plopsaland De Panne – Belgium

Bumba, Plop, Mega Mindy, Pete the pirate and Maya the bee. Just a few of the characters your kids will meet at Plopsaland De Panne. The fun starts as soon as you arrive. Kick off the action in the in-door play area and then splashing about by the Dancing Fountains. Hop on board the Plopsa Express for a journey through the park. Experience the pirate adventure. Then ride the rollercoasters with your kids. If you dare!

Legoland – Denmark

In Legoland, you’ll join your kids in a fantasy world made entirely from Lego. Take the little ones to Duplo land. Be amazed in Mini Land and feel the adrenaline rush when you’re in Legoredo Town, Adventure Land, Pirate Land, Lego Ninjago World and Polar Land! This is one experience that should not be missed, if you’re planning to go camping in Denmark!
