Camping Chaletpark Petzen

Chalet Park Petzen is a small, separate part of the Lakeside Petzen Glamping campsite, which is 4 kilometers ahead. They are 5 luxury Glamping chalets, completely winterproof. A wonderfully quiet location at a two-minute walk from the ski lift. In summer and winter you can enjoy the natural beauty of Carinthia here. Are you tying up the skis or do you bring your hiking gear?

Chalet Park Petzen is located in the south of Carinthia, close to the border with Slovenia. Just 2 minutes from your campsite you will find Mount Petzen, also known as Peca. This is a mountain range of the Karawanken, in the southern limestone Alps. The landscape is therefore green, mountainous, with some jagged rocky sections glued to the otherwise green mountains. In the winter the campsite is also open. And then the surroundings here turns pristine white with a thick layer of snow. Heaven for winter sports enthousiasts.

    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Chaletpark Petzen in Feistritz ob Bleiburg

    • (Mountain) hiking, mountain biking, skiing, cross-country skiing, swimming in mountain lakes and zip lining. It is all possible here, depending on the season of course.
    • What's the most beautiful place close to your campsite? That's the Petzen mountain of course!. In winter this is the winter sports area. In the summer you can go for the most beautiful hikes here.
    • Avid mountain hikers will be in awe of the 2,000-meter-high Hochobir or the peaks of the Steiner Alps on the Slovenian border. Yes, in this area of the Karawanken you can explore more than 800 kilometres of (mountain) hiking trails. If you're stepping onto the mountains for the first time, then sign up for a guided tour at the campsite.
    • In the height of summer you will discover some super clean mountain lakes with the kids. First of all, of course, there's the private lake at the glamping resort: Pirkdorfer See. Other azure mountain lakes in the area include the Wörthersee (68 km), Klopeiner See (21 km) and the Turnersee (19 km).
    • Admire the 54 meter high Wildensteiner waterfall (24 km). This is the highest free-fall waterfall in Europe. But put on your hiking boots, because you will first have to make a short - fairly easy - climb of 20 minutes to get to this amazingly scenic piece of nature.
    • Fancy a day out on a city trip? Then head for the Renaissance city of Klagenfurt (45 km). Stroll through its old streets full of boutiques and cafes. See the world in miniature in Minimundus and take a boat trip on Lake Wörth.
    • Treat the kids to the adventurous indoor and outdoor playground Walderlebniswelt at Lake Klopein.
    • Visit Hochosterwitz Castle on top of the Hochosterwitz mountain that it's named after (45 km). It's like being in a fairy tale. Quite a Climb you think? Nu just relax and use the mountain lift. The King of East Francia would definitely have if it existed in the year 860.
    • Great fun for all ages: the Pyramidenkogel (77 km) on the Wörthersee. From a height of 920 meters you can look out over the green-blue Carinthia. But there is more: kids can slide down an enclosed slide, which is 120 meters long! Real daredevils fly from 70 meters high down the special 100-meter long zipline.
