Camping Lakeside Petzen Glamping

Wow, what a glamping paradise. At Lakeside Petzen Glamping you can stay in a super-luxurious glamping safari tent or an ultra-modern mobile home. Right by your own mirror-smooth swimming lake. That means: relaxing on your veranda with your feet up and looking out across to that hugely impressive alpine scenery. Unwinding here is easy. However, don't forget to explore the area as well. You'll find lots of forested mountains and azure blue lakes nearby! More good news: Lakeside Petzen Glamping is also open in winter, when it becomes the ideal destination for your winter sports holiday!

  • Love a bit of extra luxury? At the Lakeside Petzen Resort campsite, you will always be staying in a brand new glamping accommodation: Such as a fully equipped spacious safari tent or an ultra-modern glamping mobile home. And with that mountain view from your accommodation, you'll definitely feel like a king.
  • Sit in the sauna for free? Relax on a comfy lounger by the exclusive swimming pool? Sip a free welcome drink? Glamping guests are really pampered here. Even the beds are made up for you upon arrival.
  • The kids also enjoy all kinds of glamping benefits. For example, they receive a small gift upon arrival and can play in the bouncy castle for free during the entire holiday.
  • Even more fun activities for your kids: the enthusiastic entertainment (for children up to 12 years) and the pedalo and SUP rental at this resort's private lake; the Pirkdorfer See, just100 meters away.
  • The best thing about the location: you're at the foot of the Petzen in just 5 minutes. Zip up with the cable car to start a mountain hike, ski or cross-country trail or join a mountain bike tour with a guide from the campsite.
  • After a day of hiking, swimming, mountain biking or skiing you can take a breather in the bar or restaurant by the lake. Order a piece of apple strudel or top fenstrudel. You earned it after all that exercise.
  • A nice little extra gift for your holiday from April to October: the Kärnten Card, which allows you to visit more than 100 tourist attractions for free and gives you discounts at partner companies.

  • (Mountain) hiking, mountain biking, skiing, cross-country skiing, swimming in mountain lakes and zip lining. It is all possible here, depending on the season of course.
  • What's the most beautiful place close to your campsite? That's the Petzen mountain of course!. In winter this is the winter sports area. In the summer you can go for the most beautiful hikes here.

Yes, in this area of the Karawanken you can explore more than 800 kilometres of (mountain) hiking trails. If you're stepping onto the mountains for the first time, then sign up for a guided tour at the campsite.
  • In the height of summer you will discover some super clean mountain lakes with the kids. First of all, of course, there's the private lake at the glamping resort: Pirkdorfer See. Other azure mountain lakes in the area include the Wörthersee (68 km), Klopeiner See (21 km) and the Turnersee (19 km).
  • Admire the 54 meter high Wildensteiner waterfall (24 km). This is the highest free-fall waterfall in Europe. But put on your hiking boots, because you will first have to make a short - fairly easy - climb of 20 minutes to get to this amazingly scenic piece of nature.

  • Visit Hochosterwitz Castle on top of the Hochosterwitz mountain that it's named after (45 km). It's like being in a fairy tale. Quite a Climb you think? Nu just relax and use the mountain lift. The King of East Francia would definitely have if it existed in the year 860.
  • Great fun for all ages: the Pyramidenkogel (77 km) on the Wörthersee. From a height of 920 meters you can look out over the green-blue Carinthia. But there is more: kids can slide down an enclosed slide, which is 120 meters long! Real daredevils fly from 70 meters high down the special 100-meter long zipline.
