    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Stella Maris in Umag

    • Take a walk down to the pretty town of Umag, just 2 km from the campsite. Stroll through its old centre to admire its ancient west tower and then stop for the freshest of seafood at one of the many excellent restaurants on the lively promenade.
    • Wine lovers head for Momjan, just 20 minutes away, to visit the Kabola Winery and sample some of the finest wines in Istria!
    • Fancy a day trip to Slovenia? You’re right near the border. Go to the picturesque medieval town of Piran to admire one of the best-preserved historical towns on the Adriatic. Sit by its crystal clear waters for a delightfully lazy lunch. If you’re lucky you might spot some dolphins close to the shore!
    • Things getting a bit hot? Head inland to Oprtalj to escape the heat by the wonderful waterfall of Butori Falls. Take a picnic and have a marvelously relaxing afternoon by the banks of the river Arđila.
    • Want to combine a little culture with some fabulous food. Go to Porec, just 30 minutes south of the campsite. Istria’s most popular holiday resort mixes a 6th century Euphrasian Basilica with great shopping and excellent dining!
    • Venture a little further south and you’ll be rewarded with the star attraction of the Istrian coastline, the wonderful old fishing port of Rovinj. Go on a boat trip and explore one of the 14 islands in its lovely archipelago.
    • Give the kids a thrilling day out at the tree top adventure park close to the campsite. It has different courses to suit various ages, so there’s fun to be had for the whole family.
