The enchanting renaissance castles of Denmark have inspired many great storytellers. Then take a trip from your campsite to Aarhus and walk through the streets of The Old Town. It’s a living museum, showing you how people lived from 1800’s to present day. Feeling adventurous? Then sail in a Viking long ship in the fjords of the Roskilde ship museum. For a real royal day out, check out the Danish crown jewels at Rosenborg castle.

Denmark’s coastline is simply magnificent. The long stretches of clean, safe, sandy beaches are tailor made for family days out. Jutland has over 400 km of white, pristine sand. South beach in Hvide Sande, is superb for surfing and you can walk right onto the beach from your campsite. Gudmindrup Lyng Strand in North-west Zealand is arguably the best beach in the country. Fancy something really different? Visit Bornholm. Denmark's Baltic island. An eco-friendly, cycling paradise. Don't want to stray too far from Copenhagen? You’re in luck. the Danish capital has its own beach, Amager Strandpark, close by.

Denmark is extremely family orientated. You can take your pick from some fantastic days out, close to your campsite. Kids won’t want to leave Legoland in Billund. Who can blame them? It’s built entirely from Lego and is Denmark’s leading family attraction. Staying closer to Copenhagen? Then have a blast in Tivoli Gardens. One of the world’s oldest amusement parks. You can’t come to Denmark without seeing the King Of Bedtime Stories, Hans Christian Andersen. Have a fairytale time at his interactive museum, in Odense. For the ultimate thrill visit the museum in Ladby and let the kids ride in the ship of an ancient Viking king.
