Some tips for your holiday at Camping Le Kerleyou in Douarnenez
- Step in the middle ages in the city of Quimper, which is a 30-minute drive from the campsite. It’s like time has stood still here. Walk past all the historical treasures in the city centre which is surrounded by a city wall. Afterwards you can enjoy a crêpe and a cider. La vie est belle!
- The seasoned hikers should hike the GR34. Map a route and hike past the breath-taking Brittany coast to Pointe du Van and Pointe du Raz. Admire here the waves that beat the rocky coastline. However, less fanatical hikers should also absolutely try this route. You can make the route as long as you want so off you go!
- When the tide is low, you can walk from the city centre of Douarnenez straight to Tristan Island. The walk on its own is definitely worth it already and the guide will tell you all ins and outs about this area.
- The town of Douarnenez is all about fishery. Visit le Port-Musée, a unique maritime museum in France, or go to one of the many beaches the town has to offer. Plage des Sables Blancs is an Instagram worthy beach where you can go for a swim or do water sports.
