    Fouesnant is a small town on the southern coast of Brittany famed for its high quality cider. It’s situated close to the port town of Benodet (7km), the walled city of Concarneau (11km) and the cultural heart of Brittany, the picturesque old town of Quimper (17km).

    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Le Vorlen in Fouesnant

    • Brittany is famous for its cider and apple juice. Take a leisurely bike ride to Fouesnant (5km) past enchanting apple orchards to the artisinal cider mill of Cidrerie Menez-Brug. Sample a refreshing free glass of the local produce and then buy some for back at the campsite.
    • Feel like a little adventure? Then go to the wonderful Glénan islands just off the coast from Benodet. At first glance you think you’re in the Caribbean, but no you’re still in Brittany. It’s just a 1 hour by ferry from Benodet.(8km)
    • Combine a little history with some shopping and fantastic food and head for the 14th century walled city of Concarneau (11km) Stroll its narrow streets, do your souvenir shopping, then stop at one of the many excellent restaurants for some of the finest fresh seafood in the region.
    • Fancy a day filled with culture? Then a visit to Quimper ( 17km) the cultural heart of Brittany is a must. Admire the impressive 13th century cathedral, wander the atmospheric old old town, with half-timbered houses dating from the 14th century, then stop for lunch at the Place au Beurre, one of Quimper’s prettiest locations and famed for its excellent crêpes.
    • Art lovers head for the lovely village of Pont-Aven (25km). It’s postcard picture perfect and was home to the famous impressionist painter Paul Gauguin, who painted some of his finest works here.
    • Thrill the kids and take them to the former naval base in Lorient (60km). It’s now an interactive maritime museum, where you can go on board a real submarine and learn all about life under the ocean.
    • For a fun and active day out for all the family head for the amazing tree top park in Clohars-Fouesnan ( 6km). Tackle the 6 different courses, there’s one for every age group and have a real adventure not far from the campsite.
