Camping Cap de Bréhat

Cap de Bréhat’s greatest asset? The blissful tranquility. The relaxed family atmosphere. The rustling espaliers all around you. And the spectacular panorama of the Bay of Paimpol. Because the bay changes with the tides, you have a different view every time. With direct access to the GR34 hiking trail, a wonderful hiking world lies at your feet. And the beach? 300 metres and you're there!

The surrounding of Camping Cap de Bréhat

The campsite is situated on the Côtes-d'Armor, or Emerald Coast. It could hardly be more photogenic. You won’t forget the pink granite rocks, the cliffs and the romantic light. To make it even more beautiful: the footpath of the legendary GR34 hiking trail passes by the campsite. The so-called 'customs trail'- named after the customs who used to patrol here to catch smugglers- takes you past beautiful viewpoints on the sea. And to mysterious rock formations in which you can discover crazy figures.

Some tips for your holiday at Camping Cap de Bréhat in Plouézec

    • The GR34 has a total length of 60 kilometres and leads you along the entire Breton coast. Explore (part of) the trail and take holiday photos of the sea and its estuaries.
    • The landscape of stacked rocks is more than 300 million years old. The pink granite coast alternates with port towns such as Paimpol and Port Blanc. You’ll arrive in cosy Paimpol after a ten-minute drive, and Pointe de l'Arcouest can be reached in 15 minutes. This is the departure point to the island of Bréhat.
    • Take the boat from Pointe de l'Arcoueste and sail in ten minutes to Bréhat, a subtropical flower island with a touch of England. Here you will find no cars, but winding footpaths and eager cyclists braving the green hills and grey rocks. Centuries-old cottages, churches and lighthouses seem haphazardly strewn across the island. Enjoy the tropical flowers and purple moors. Stone walls divide the landscape into plots. Buy a souvenir from the glass artists in the citadel, not far from the port.
    • Try "the Paimpolaise" during your visit to Paimpol. You won't have to search for long, as the local oysters can be ordered in almost every restaurant. Try it the classic way- with a little lemon juice!
    • Start the car and head out for a day trip to Château de la Roche-Jagu. It's not far. About half an hour after leaving, park the car on the grounds. Stroll through the gardens of this 15th-century castle and enjoy stunning views over the valley.
    • After half an hour's drive, park the car in Tréguier; a medieval town and port in one. Visit the Gothic cathedral, discover hidden gardens and city palaces and photograph the iconic half-timbered frontages. One of the most famous is the half-timbered facade of philosopher Ernest Renan’s home.
