Camping La Ville Huchet is a small comfortable campsite with good facilities and a laid back atmosphere. This immaculately maintained campsite with its pretty flowerbeds is very close to St-Malo and is an ideal base for exploring the stunning Bretagne coastline and countryside.

St-Malo is a beautiful old harbour city with a 12th century walled old town plus a new part. The old town is called Intra-Muros and the large entrance gate is part of an impressive castle, which nowadays houses the town council and the library. The elegant seaside resort of Dinard is just across the river Rance (11km) and the pretty medieval town of Dol-de-Bretagne lies just 28km away.

Some tips for your holiday at La Ville Huchet in Saint-Malo

  • A walk around the old pirate town of St Malo is a delight for all ages. Stroll along the 18th century city walls and enjoy stunning views of the old part of town, the ocean and the spectacular coastline. Inside the walls you can admire lots of beautiful old buildings, such as the gorgeous 12th century Saint-Vincent Cathedral.
  • Take the kids to the Grand Aquarium, just outside the city walls, for a thrilling day out. See clown fish, giant crabs, conga eels, sea snakes sharks. Then enjoy a ride in the Abyssal descent simulator and travel to a world at the bottom of the ocean to see lantern and flash fish. Simply unforgettable!
  • Fancy a day out at the beach then take your pick from either La Grande Plage du Sillon or the cosier Plage du Mole. Enjoy a relaxing day on the fine golden sands and cool down in the lovely blue water. Feeling hungry after all that splashing about? Then simply stroll back into town for a long lovely lunch at one of the many excellent restaurants.
  • Combine some shopping, lazing about on the beach and some of the freshest seafood you’ll ever taste in Dinard (11km), it’s just a short drive away. This elegant upmarket seaside resort lies just on the other side of the mouth of the River Rance and is the perfect spot for a delightful family day out.
  • A trip to the medieval town of Dol-de-Bretagne (28km) and the famous and spectacular Mont-Saint-Michel (56km) are a must when in this area. The former is steeped in legends and interesting for all ages and the latter intriguing and stunning for architecture and history lovers. Tip for the kids: Scenes from Harry Potter were filmed there!
  • Mini Max Verstappen’s and Lewis Hamilton’s take to the go-kart circuit in St Malo. Zip around the track at high speed and see if you can clock the fastest lap time. Great fun for all the family
  • Real daredevils head just 6km south to the thrilling tree top adventure park of Corsaire Aventure in Fort Saint-Père. Climb, jump and fly through the forest on zip lines in a truly magical and natural environment. Everyone from the age of 4 can have an unforgettable time here!
