Some tips for your holiday at Camping Bois de Pleuven in St Yvi

    • The Breton light is like a beautiful poem. Especially in the evening, when the sun slowly disappears into the ocean, the sea, sky, and clouds get a special pink glow.
    • The nearest beach is Plage de Kerléven (7km), near the marina of La Forêt-Fouesnant.
    • Also close by: the 14th century fishing bastion of Concarneau (12 km). Behind the thick city walls you can enjoy shopping and feasting in a maze of streets. Browse around for souvenirs and follow your nose – it’s packed with (top) restaurants. The specialty? Seafood!
    • Quimper (17km) is the cultural heart of Brittany. Admire the impressive 13th-century cathedral, stroll past the 14th-century half-timbered houses, and visit a brasserie on the Place au Beurre. Here they serve tasty crêpes.
    • Do you want it even more picturesque? The artists' village of Pont-Aven is a living painting. The houses on the quay, the boats in the bay... no wonder the famous impressionist painter Paul Gauguin dipped his brushes here.
    • Take the boat for a day trip to the paradise islands of Glénan. White sandy beaches, crystal clear sea water ... just like the Maldives but only 16 kilometres from the south coast of Finistère. You can embark in Concarneau or Bénodet.
    • Adventure highlight for the family: the climbing forest in Clohars-Fouesnan (10 km). Have fun on 6 different courses for all ages.
    • A day in Brest is also an option. This beautiful city was badly hit in the Second World War, but completely rebuilt afterwards.
    • Nearest airport: Brest Bretagne at 84 km
    • Second nearest airport: Nantes Atlantique at 220 km
    • Train station: 14 km
    • Nearest city/village: 5.5 km
    • Nearest sea: 10 km
    • Supermarket: 5.5 km
