    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Bonne Anse Plage in Les Mathes

    • Biking is the way to move around here. So bring you bicycles on holiday with you or hire them from the campsite. Go on a delightful trip to La Palmyre or Saint-Palais-sur-Mer.
    • Use the special bike path to get to the beach. Plage du Vieux Phare and Plage de la Coubre are just 3km away. The waves of the Atlantic Ocean roll gently onto the beach. Build a sand castle? Good idea! There’s plenty of space. It’s a great spot here, in between the dunes!
    • Visit the old seaside resort of Royan, a delightful town by the sea with a promenade and lots of shops. Take the kids to dinosaur park Planet Exotica or go on a boat trip. Admire the Notre-Dame church in Royan. The tree top adventure park Coolongalook in Royan or the carting track are great places for teenagers!
    • It’s just an 8 minute drive to La Palmyre Zoo. You’ll come face to face with tigers, Rinos, giraffes, seals, monkeys, polar bears, reptiles, penguins, parrots and many other species. Your kids will love it here!
    • In just 1 hour you’ll be on the island of Ile d’Oleron. Check out Fort Louvois, la citadelle du Château d’Oléron and Fort Boyard, and round off that perfect day with a couple hours of relaxation on the beach.
    • The region’s capital, La Rochelle, is an absolute must see, with its historical buildings, shade filled streets, market with fresh local produce, little harbours, restaurants, a bridge to the Island Ile de Re and an aquarium with Nemo-fishes. The best way to explore this town? Hire bikes or Rosalies. ( 2-6 persons personal go kart bikes.)
