Camping Le Grand Dague

Campsite Le Grand Dague is a lovely family campsite, set in a quiet, green location and yet still close to the city of Perigueux. Its location gives you a wonderful view over the surrounding valleys.

The surrounding of Camping Le Grand Dague

Périgueux, capital of the Périgord (the former name of the Dordogne region) is a successful mix of old and new. The city was founded in 16BC and it seems as though time has stood still here with the narrow streets and impressive cathedral. The campsite is so close to this lovely town that you can easily go there several times during your stay.

Very clean and pleasant park. Enough to keep the kids entertained although most of the entertainment was in Dutch. Staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Our accommodation was very clean, well stocked but a little small for five of us. We would book a bigger mobile next time. I think the soft play are could do with better lighting for the evening and maybe staffed so that only the correct age group can enjoy it rather than teenagers as our kids found them intimidating. Excellent English spoken by all staff. Great place

      Area tip

Périgueux city with its Roman remains is nearby, it also has a Lidl and Hyper U store
