At Camping Le Carbonnier you can enjoy your holiday in the middle the Dordogne’s natural beauty. After checking in, the swimming paradise immediately attracts the attention of the kids. There are several slides, a children's pool and indoor swimming pool waiting for them. Not finished yet? Walk to the recreational lake. Here you can canoe or fish to your heart's content. After walking 100 metres you’ll come across the first restaurant, where you can order various French specialties.

    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Le Carbonnier in Saint-Martial-de-Nabirat

    • After a 30 minute drive you’ll reach Sarlat-la-Canéda. You’ll have a great time in this medieval city. Visit the cathedral, the church and stroll through the historic city centre. Shop local specialties at the truffle market and the foie gras market.
    • Kayak down the river, explore the paths along the banks of the Dordogne by mountain bike or put on your hiking boots. At the top of the wooded hilly landscape, you can enjoy views of the valley.
    • The picturesque roads lead you past orchards of walnut trees. Stopover? The old villages have characteristic sand-coloured facades and pastel-coloured shutters. During a gastronomic break, you can eat Rocamadour cheese, fresh pasta with black truffle or lamb from Quercy.
    • Caves are plentiful in the area. Like the caves of Cougnac, 15 minutes’ drive from the campsite. See 30,000-year-old petroglyphs and walk among the stalactites and stalagmites on an organised tour.
    • After a 15-minute drive you’ll also spot the first castles. Navigate to the Dordogne and stop at Château de Montfort. Its location on the river, the wooded hills and the sand-coloured castle are the perfect ingredients for a true-to-life fairytale.
