Some tips for your holiday at Camping Le Château de Galaure in Châteauneuf-de-Galaure
- Cross the Rhône river to the Ardèche and the city of Annonay. Wander around the market on the Place de la Liberté on a Wednesday or Saturday and then take a breather in the lovely sycamore park. Feel like scaling great heights? Then admire the Ardèche from a hot air balloon. After all, this is where they invented it!
- Tournon-sur-Rhône is also close by. Hop on the old steam train from here for a stunning ride through the hills of the Ardeche, past mountain cleaves that lead to Lamastre positioned higher up.
- Close to the campsite is the mysterious ' Palais Idéal', an oriental castle that a postman built single handedly. In the style of a temple, with a lot of precision work. It took him 33 years to build!
- Discover Africa, North America and Asia in France! In the Safari de Peaugres safari park you’ll meet more than 900 types of animal. Follow the safari route in your own car, on a special bus or on foot in the monkey area only. This great park is just 30 minutes away from the campsite.
- Want to have some monkey fun? Head for Accroforest Peyrins. Swing from tree to tree and the trapezes and zip lines. Suitable for kids from 2+. The Oasis Aventura park also has an adventure course for 1 year old adventurers.Fun for all the family: Vélorail Ardèche. Peddle your way across 12 km of railway track from 1891 and ride over bridges, viaducts and tunnels together.
