From Bordeaux: Carcans is about 50 km away, between the Atlantic Ocean, Lake d-Hourtin-Carcans and pine forest.

By train:
The most convenient SNCF station: Bordeaux Saint-Jean, served by TGV, Intercités and TER. From Bordeaux, Carcans is accessible by regional bus, car or taxi. Itineraries by bus or train + bus make it possible to reach the lake of Hourtin-Carcans from Bordeaux according to times and schedules.
