Some tips for your holiday at Camping Les Embruns in Lège-Cap-Ferret

    • On the bay of Archacon, Pastourelles beach is a nice place. Soft white sand, green edges of trees, everything breathes peace and relaxation.
    • To the ocean? Cycle there without encountering a car. The bike path runs right through the forest. Pedal to Plage de Truc Vert or Plage Grand Crohot while the birds sins a summer song.
    • How about surfing lessons? Cap Ferret is a great place for experienced and novice surfers. There’s a surf school on the campsite.
    • In the seaside resort of Cap Ferret, you can see chic beach villas and beach houses in all colours of the rainbow. Climb the 258-step spiral staircase of the famous red and white Cap Ferret lighthouse. At the top you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of everything green and blue.
    • Speaking of dizzying views: Dune de Pilat is the largest sand dune (110 metres high, 600 metres wide, 3 kilometres long) on the continent. A piece of the Sahara in Europe. Climb all the way to the top for a … umm … top view!
    • Narrow, bumpy streets, an old Moorish chapel, colourful eateries with fold-out boards that reveal the house specialty (oysters!). The fishing village of L'Herbe is a feast for the eyes and your camera.
    • Birdwatcher? Check in for a boat trip to the bird island of Iles aux Oiseaux in Arcachon Bay, home to some 400,000 winged tourists. Have your camera ready as you pass the beautiful wooden fishing stilt huts (Cabanes Tchanquées). Then sail on to oyster villages along the coast and the fashionable seaside resort of Arcachon with its chic houses on the water.
    • While you're in the city of Arcahon, treat your party to a day at Aqualand Bassin d'Arcachon. Young and older water treaders can indulge themselves in this exciting water park.
