As the name says, this is an ideal place to enjoy Lake Annecy. Camping L'Idéal is well kept and locted in a lovely spot around 900m from the lake. From the campsite you can watch the paragliders that fly over the campsite on their way to the landing area near the lake.

Surrounded by the foothills of the Alps, with some great water sports facilities and the pretty village of Annecy at the northern end of the lake, it's quite rightly one of the most popular holiday destinations. L'ideal campsite, I can't recommend this campsite enough. We are a family of 5 with kids aged 8,9 & 12, and this was our first holiday away from the normal all inclusive hotel. Firstly Lake Annecy is absolutely stunning!! beautiful clean water with faci.ities set up all over for families and children of all ages. The campsite is clean, tidy and staff were lovely, every question answered and very polite, friendly and happy!! The pools were perfect, an outside infant pool, an outside bigger pool and a heated pool in the middle with the option of a cover if it's raining. The 2 slides are very good. The campsite play area is well thought out with a climbing frame, bouncy castle, trampoline, football pitch and tennis courts. The bar/restaurant is lovely, located by the pool so you can keep an eye on the kids. The food for a campsite is very, very good with a takeaway option as well. The little shop is perfect with freshly baked pastries and baguettes cooked on site every morning. I also found the location to be quite good as it's towards the bottom of the lake. So rather than being close to Annecy town the traffic is a lot quieter and also gives you the opportunity to see more of the lake. We will be definitely coming back.
Area tip The Lidl or Inter Marche in Albertsville is closer than the ones in Annecy. The town of Le sambuy as well as the beach at the foot of the lake by Campéole is a must visit.

Area tip Zip wires at Talloires great for kids and adults, take the chair lift at Sambuy. Great day out!

A lovely campsite in a fantastic location. Lovely new caravan, great pools and slides. Loads to do nearby and was a truly fabulous holiday
Area tip Visit Old Town Annecy, Chamonix and get the Mont Blanc pass or La Sambuy and luge down the moutain.

Some tips for your holiday at Camping l'Idéal in Lathuile
- Sporty water babies have a blast by Lake Annecy, sailing, swimming, canoeing, waterskiing, wakeboarding or riding pedaloes. You can even go diving here!
- Hire a bike and peddle along the shores of Lake Annecy or go on a challenging mountain bike trip through the hills.
- Geneva is just an hour's drive away. Explore the old city centre, take a walk through the park and treat yourself to a culinary delight in the Les Pâquis neighbourhood.
- Even closer is the city if Albertville that organised the 1992 winter Olympic games.
