- Looking for sun, sea, beach and shopping. In the bustling resort of Argelès-sur-Mer there's all that and lots more. Stroll along the boulevard, pop into the shops full of the latest gadgets and have a drink at a nice terraced bar Fancy a night out? The nightlife is lively here!
- A little quieter but oh so beautiful is Collioure, a unique picture pretty town that clings bravely to the rocks. The view of the sea and the old Fort Miradou is wonderful. Port-Vendres is another port town where your camera will do overtime.
- The Argelès actually starts by the Costa Brava, or the "wild coast" as it's known. The wide sandy beaches alternate with rugged rocks from here right down to the south. Cerbère and the lighthouse on Cap Cerbère make for a nice a day out. You can discover some beautiful beaches along the way.
- Exploring the interior? Top tip : the medieval castle city of Carcassonne, an absolute gem that's on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Tip number two: the beautiful city of Perpignan, which is full of Catalan influences.
- You're almost in Spain. It's only 25 kilometres away. Shoot across the borderand visit the famous Dalí museum in Figueres.
