    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Les Calquieres in Aveyron

    • Rocks, mountains, caves, forests, and lakes. That means hiking, climbing, canyoning, tree climbing and canoeing. The Auvergne has everything for a holiday with exciting outdoor experiences. You can do all kinds of activities in the vicinity of the campsite. Please inquire at reception.
    • Rafting or kayaking in the Gorges du Tarn is an experience that will stay with you. A half hour drive and the adventure can begin.
    • The campsite is 20 minutes from the famous Millau viaduct, which resembles a gigantic steel sailboat. The height of the bridge pillar is 343 metres. That's taller than the Eiffel Tower.
    • Looking for culture? Visit the city of Millau, or drive to Rodez with its beautiful cathedral built of pink sandstone.
    • The small medieval town of Pont-de-Salars. In the charming centre you can enjoy historical monuments and a colourful cultural atmosphere. The annual calendar is filled with great festivals.
    • Top for children: Micropolis in Saint-Léons. An exciting child-sized insect world.
    • Other attractions: the caves of Roquefort, the Natural Park of the Cévennes, the castle town, medieval town of Sévérac and the hiking trails in the Parc Naturel des Grands Causses.
