Calviac is situated east from where the Cère river meets the Dordogne. The 'gorges' of the Cère are much less famous than those of the Dordogne, but they are just as beautiful. You should bear in mind that this region has less through roads so you'll need more time when visiting Brive, Aurillac or Figeac.

- The well-known Rocamadour set high against a rock face is only 55km from the campsite so allow a full day to enjoy this trip.
- Another nice trip for the entire family is a visit to the huge Padirac caves and the fun park near Le Bugue.
- Why not take a donkey ride with the children. It's a nice day out in the lovely countryside here.
- One of our favourites is the bush safari - a rather difficult walking activity, which includes a natural waterslide half way through.
