Camping La Dune Blanche

Close to the English Channel and the Canche estuary. If you're looking for a mix of culture, nature and gorgeuos white beaches, this is the place. Children will love the campsite with its many sports and games facilities. The small lake next to the campsite offers good canoeing too.

    Some tips for your holiday at Camping La Dune Blanche in Camiers

    • This coastline is called Cote d'Opale (Opal Coast), named after the precious jewel. Opals are not cheap and stand for everlasting love, so ......
    • Be impressed by the huge difference between high and low tide. At low tide the beach is super wide, but be careful to be back in good time or your towel could be washed away by the incoming sea.
    • On a clear day you can see the while cliffs of Dover. However the French cliffs od Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez are just as famous. This is where huge radar towers are situated so they can lead the ships safely through the narrow English Channel.
    • Boulogne-sur-Mer is a delightful seaside town with old Roman remains and a Sea Centre with large aquarums. Children will love these!
    • Step back into recent history in Arras, provincial capital of this area. Mysterious tunnels make up a network under the city and where used in the First World War by thousands of troops.
