Why Camping Château du Gandspette?
- In the grounds of an old castle
- Nice and peaceful but with lots of facilities
- Close to the Begium/ French border
The entrance to camping Château du Gandspette is very pleasant and the 19th century chateau of Gandspette, from which the campsite gets its name, is to be found here, amidst an 11 hectare large wooded area.
Close to the Belgian/French border you will find the beautiful soft rolling hills of the northern French landscape around Eperlecques. Here, just east of Calais, you will discover Flemish villages with names such as Wormhout and Hazebrouck. Many remains of the Second World War can be found in this pleasant landscape such as the launch installation of the famous V1 and V2 rockets which were aimed at London. Nowadays this so called Blockhaus, a giant concrete bunker of 22 metres high, is a visitor attraction.
"A friendly campsite set in a charismatic area of a majestic castle, not far from the Belgian border and Plopsaland theme park! The restaurant and bar is set in an old farmhouse."

For the second year, we had a really relaxing and enjoyable stay. The quality of the facilities and the warmth of the welcome are second to none.
Take a motor boar trip around the Marais, visit the Blackhaus d'Eperlecques, take some of the walks around the area

We would highly recommend Camping Chateau du Gandspette. The site is spacious and clean and the caravans are also spacious with plenty of storage areas. The outdoor pool complex is lovely and the food in the restaurant was delicious. There is a supermarket a short drive away and you can buy bread and croissants on site every morning. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
No shop on site but the Carrefour supermarket is just a short drive away. Make time to visit the Blockhaus d'Eperlecques which is within a short walking distance. If visiting Eperlecques centre driving is easy as theree is a large free car park

We had a short stay & were thrilled with the standard of the site. The cleanliness of the mobile home was impeccable. The staff we dealt with were very helpful. The swimming pools were extremely well maintained as were the grounds, play park and bouncy castle. Would certainly visit again and recommend.
