    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Les Routes de Provence in Forcalquier

    • Stroll just 500 metres from your campsite to the pretty village of Forcalquier. Wander the narrow old streets to Place Saint-Michel and admire the 12th century ""concathedral"" Notre Dame de l'Assomption. Then go to the main Place du Bourguet for a lovely, long, lazy lunch.
    • Fancy swimming in the gorgeous emerald waters of Europe’s largest canyon? Then head for the Gorges of the Verdon river , which borders the Alpes de Haute-Provence department to the south.
    • History lovers go to the ancient town of Manosque (22km). Pass through the impressive 14th century gateways Porte du Soubeyran and the Porte de la Saunerie and then admire the magnificent 13th century Church of Saint-Sauveur, with its beautiful bell tower.
    • Always wanted to know how olive oil is made? Then journey 15km southeast of Foraclaquier to Volx and visit the wonderful eco-museum , where you can learn all about the olive tree’s importance to Mediterranean culture.
    • For that perfect picture postcard view of Provence, go to Sisteron (30km) and climb to the top of the hilltop 13th century citadel. Simply breathtaking!
    • Want to see some of the prettiest hill top villages in France, such as Gordes, Lacoste, Menerbes and Roussillon? Then travel through the magnificent nature area Le Parc naturel régional du Luberon and explore them at your leisure.
