- Blois is only 25km from the campsite, with its château and the famous stairs of King François.
- Famous châteaux and convents are nearby. One such is Chenonceaux, a masterpiece of French architecture. Compare this with those of Cheverny, Chambord and Chaumont are all lovely in their own right.
