Camping Seasonova La Forêt

This small pleasant but basic campsite is set in the middle of the Sillé-le-Guillaume National Forest, close to a recreational lake. It’s a real haven for water sports fans, nature lovers and those looking to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. And it’s also a perfect choice for older couples and families with young children who don’t mind the lack of facilities such as a water park and simply want to experience real camping and feel the grass between their toes.

    Some tips for your holiday at Camping Seasonova La Forêt in Sillé-le-Guillaume

    • For a great day out close to the campsite go to the village of Sillé-le-Guillaume (2km). Stroll around the beautiful countryside, stop for a drink or an ice cream and don’t forget to drop in to the magnificent old castle that dominates the landscape.
    • Looking for some adventure then head for the Les Tyroliennes de la Foret in the forest near Sillé-le-Guillaume. Enjoy the tree top adventure park, forest laser games and archery challenges.
    • Fancy a little culture and history not too far away? Head for the ancient fortified town of Sainte Suzanne (20km). Visit the old paper factory, the camp dating from William the conqueror and the 15th century Musée d'Auditoire where you can learn all about the history of Sainte Suzanne.
    • A must for motor sport fans, the Le Mans Race circuit just 40km from the campsite. Visit the museum and experience history of this great 24 hour race. See the magnificent racing cars from the 1930’s to present day, including Bentleys, Ferraris, Jaguars, Fords and Porsches.
    • Take a stroll in the Alpes Mancelles, located in a protected natural area. Visit Saint-Céneri-le-Gerei (29km) one of France’s most beautiful villages and have a picturesque lunch. This beautiful nature area is perfect for picnics, hiking and cycling.
    • An hour’s drive from the campsite but worth the visit is La Flèche Zoo. Treat the kids to a lot of fun seeing monkeys, jaguars, rhinoceroses and elephants.
    • Art lovers head for Alençon (38km) to admire the fine works in Musée des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle. This town is also famous for its lace making industry, which dates back to the 17th century. Buy that perfect gift for back home, then settle down in the the historic Saint-Léonard Quarter and enjoy a long lazy lunch.
