    Some tips for your holiday at Camping La Grande Côte in La Barre-de-Monts

    • Directly by the campsite lies the fairytale-like Pas de Monts forest. A playground for hikers and cyclists. Rent a (mountain)bike at the campsite and make a trip through the forest! On the way, you can enjoy a picknick at one of the open spaces!
    • From the campsite, you look out on the unique nature island of Noirmoutier. In no time you’ll arrive on the island, where your ultimate island adventure begins. Hiking along the coastline? Learning to sail? Or visiting the cozy village of La Guérinière?
    • The Passage du Gois bridge to Noirmoutier is an attraction in itself. This, 4,2 km long bridge is accessible during ebb and floods during flood. Brave the bridge and spot many birds or collect hundreds of shells on the way.
    • In for a boat trip? Hop on the ferry boat to the paradisical island of Île d’Yeu. With its 40 km long, idyllic beach, it is a perfect place for families! Heading inland, you go back in time at the Vieux-Château castle. En garde!
    • Somewhat around the corner of the campsite, there are two word-wide famous events held each June. Head bang at the Hellfest rock festival or spot competition sailors at the Transat New York Vendée - Les Sables-d'Olonne. Here, sailors cross the ocean all the way to New York!
    • Learning about history while being entertained? In theme park Puy du Fou they do it every day. Here, history comes to life with magnificent decors, shows and characters. The park is even rewarded as the best theme park in the world. Educational and great for the kids!
    • Hopped all islands? Discover the La Baule bay, one of the most beautiful bays in Europe. For around 9 kilometers in a row, you’ll bump into perfect sandy beaches, crystal clear sea water and sublime views. The Côte d'Azur has gained some competition!
