Royan is accessible via the D730 from Saintes, the D733 from Rochefort or the D137 from La Rochelle. From Paris, take the A10 to the Saintes exit, then follow the D730. From Nantes, take the A83 then the D137 towards Rochefort, and finally the D733 towards Royan.
IN TRAIN:
Royan Station is served by TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine trains connecting the stations of Saintes, Angoulême and Niort. Connections with TGVs from Paris are possible in Niort or Angoulême. The frequency of trains is higher during the summer.
IN AVION (closest airports):
La Rochelle-Île de Ré Airport (LRH) – about 62 km from Royan (about 1 hour drive)
