Some tips for your holiday at Camping Kronenburger See in Hallschlag

    • Crazy to think there were once volcanoes here! In the amazing Volcanic Eifel you can walk endlessly and learn everything about the origin of these fire-breathing giants. Venture out and admire the mysterious ‘maren’ (volcano lakes).
    • From the park, marked hiking trails meander straight into the wide world. The 9-kilometre long Moorpfad Dahlem takes you to Wasserdell, a beautiful chunk of nature with wooden footbridges.
    • The Dolomites Eight, a walking tour with a view of breathtaking rock formations, will certainly stay with you. The volcano garden in Steffeln is an adventurous experience for young scouts!
    • Are your children tired of walking? On to the Dahlemer Binz go-kart track (the longest in Germany), or the exciting Adler und Wolfspark Kasselburg where you can see wolves, birds of prey shows and knights’ games.
    • Naturparcours Arboretum (in Nettersheim) is an exciting tree-climbing park in the middle of Eifel's nature. You'll experience a great day here.
    • In the mood for more adventure? Eifelpark Gondorf is a combination between an amusement park and a zoo. The wild water course guarantees a lot of screaming!
    • Some towns in this region seem to have been plucked from a fairytale movie. In Monschau and Bad Münstereifel you can stroll through centuries-old streets where Cinderella's carriage could storm around the corner on its way to the ball at any moment. A visit to Hillesheim, the capital of the famous German TV crime scenes, is also a feast of recognition.
    • Visit Burcht Satzvey, one of the most beautiful medieval castles in the region. The towers, the moats, the ivy that grows up the walls... just like a painting. Historical celebrations often take place here.
    • Gerolstein also sparkles. Literally. In this town you can tap sparkling mineral water, straight from the source. Bring empty bottles.
    • Do you want to end the holiday with a bang? Stop at the famous Phantasialand theme park near Cologne on your way back.
    • The campsite does not have its own swimming pool. Still need to cool down? Take the car to the Freibad in Schleiden, 27 kilometres from the campsite. You can use the swimming pool at a reduced rate.
