Camping Ca' Savio

Camping Ca' Saviois a large, friendly campsite on the long Jesolo peninsula that separates the Venetian bay and the Adriatic Sea. The sandy beaches are on the side that meets the sea and this is where you will find all the campsites.

The surrounding of Camping Ca' Savio

A good spot for a visit to Venice, and not just once. Going by boat is the easiest way because from this long peninsula the ferries leave for the old Doge city on a regular basis. The narrow streets beside the many canals really are nice to stroll along. Of course you'll want to visit the San Marco square with the huge astrologic clock and the Bridge of Sighs.

Some tips for your holiday at Camping Ca' Savio in Cavallino Treporti

    • The city of Padova is a good idea, being one of Italy's most important cities of art. See the beautiful fresco's Giotto made in the Scrovegni chapel and the Padova public museum has wonderful Venetian pieces of fine art.
    • Little known, but very interesting, is the countryside north of Venice. The lovely cities like Treviso and Bassano del Grappa, with a historic wooden bridge over the Brenta river, are to be found here.
    • The best way to visit Venice is to start at Punta Sabbione. The boat leaves from here every day. Stroll across St. Mark's Square, photograph the iconic Rialto Bridge, and board a leisurely gondola. Prefer to avoid the hordes of tourists? Visit Venice early in the morning or explore the cosy Cannaregio during the day: one of the city's six “sestieri” (neighbourhoods). The place where many locals live, where the streets are decorated with clotheslines draped in laundry and where sleepy squares slowly but surely awaken during the day.
    • Murano is known as the glass island and can be visited by boat. It is the first island at which the boat stops - after San Michele. Here glassblowers make the most incredible artistic and creative works. You may even spot a craftsperson at work. Or shop for the most beautiful souvenirs as a keepsake for home.
    • Next stop? Take the boat to Burano. Snap the best holiday photos of the colourful houses. Or score a gelato and relax on the wharf. It's bustling with life here, so you will certainly be amazed by this car-free island.
    • After a 20-kilometre drive, you'll arrive in the always lively seaside resort of Lido di Jesolo. Bar, restaurants and shops are abundant here. Build a sandcastle on the crackling sandy beach or discover the marine life, penguins, reptiles and amphibians in the Tropicarium Park.
    • Third nearest airport: Venice Treviso (TSF) at 60 km
    • Train station: 40 km
    • Bus station: 800 m
    • Area: flat and wooded
    • Nearest city/village: 1000 m
    • Nearest sea: beside the sea
    • Supermarket: 1 km
